7 Week Defensemen Training


7/9- 8/22 (20 Player MAX)

  • 2x/Week: Tuesday and Thursday
  • 28 Hours of On Ice Training
  • 21 Hours of Off Ice Training and Hockey Specific Conditioning

On-ice:  10:00am – 12:00pm
Off-ice: 12:30pm – 2:00 pm


We’ve created this D training with the idea of building the versatile defenseman. Working on defensive and offensive strategies and techniques. Our small groups allow us to focus on the finer points of stride development, puck handling, defending rushes, 1-1 on play, and D-Zone concepts. Throughout the summer we will be building defensive foundations and blending these foundations together to ensure a summer growth spurt. Our program will focus on:

  3. Forward/ Backward Edge Control
  4. Underhandling Progressions
  5. Toe Control
  6. Battle Concepts
    Board play
    Body Control/ Checking
    Stick Checks
    2nd and 3rd effort
